Senator Murphy Comes to Orange

On Aug. 19th U.S. Senator Chris Murphy came to lunch at Chip's Family Restaurant with my campaign staff and I to lend his support to the Lenz 2013 campaign , and to consult regarding local issues. Chris said he was impressed on how well organized the campaign is, and looked forward to visiting again later in the pre-election season.

Record Crowd at the Democratic Picnic

On Thursday afternoon the Orange Democratic Town Committee hosted a picnic for the candidates. Former Secretary of State Susan Bysiewicz stopped by and discussed the fine points of local campaigning. There was live music by Bob Mel and Doc Wight and, as you might expect I gave a stump speech. Thanks to the over 140 Orange residents who attended and contributed we are off to a great start.

CAMPAIGNING IS FOR THE BIRDS

A gaggle of turkeys came across my path while campaigning in Orange. They liked my campaign platform about preserving open space.
